Though they appear a bit menacing, Aquatanks really are very passive Heartless. They prefer to just float about in the currents and cause mischief whenever they can. Inside of their rotund bodies is a large amount of rather light gas. Increasing or decreasing the amount allows them to bob on the surface of the ocean or sink to the very bottom of it. Not much else is known about this odd fellow.

Strategy

One of the more humorous enemies, the Aquatank is a slow, weak enemy who seems to enjoy utilizing Black Arts : Focus more than Black Arts : Water. It is highly advisable to double up on these lethargic foes and capitalize on their remarkably pitiful physical defense. Blades cut through them like butter, though they shrug off most Magick blows while chortling happily and casting a barrage of Focus. Also of note is their utterly terrible Evasiveness, allowing for easy, powerful strikes to cleave through their blubbery forms.

They are clearly the last foe you should worry about, as they pose little threat to you, unlike their teammates, the Screwdiver and Sea Neon. When you head into their secret hideout, the Tank Hull, you should be aware of their White Arts : Cure spell, as it can be quite detrimental to those attempting to win by using Magickal abilities. Physical attacks take this variety down very quickly and should definitely be utilized if fighting them.

Aquatank General

While the General is tougher in every stat than is the basic Aquatank, it suffers the exact same weaknesses. It is slow and lacks a respectable Defense. Attempting to penetrate its Spirit stat would make you a very foolish customer, as it is above and beyond that of even the strongest chapter two monsters. While its speed is higher than the basic version, it is still easily doubled, though doubling it is far from necessary.

Be aware that it holds but two spells. Black Arts : Watera couples with Arcane Arts : Meltdown to make a terrifying offensive danger. Its lack of Focus makes it markedly more intelligent than its lesser brethren, as it will not spam it when low in health. While it is significantly stronger than its lesser friends, it is still just an Aquatank.

Variations

Trivia

  • The normal Aquatank had White Arts : Cure originally in its arsenal, though it was removed due to it making Atlantica as a whole too difficult.
    • It often seems as though the Aquatank believes it still has Cure, as it spams Focus, a Mana restoration spell, whenever it or its allies have low Health.
