Tonberries enjoy the cold, and wear cloaks to defend themselves against the elements. They hide in dark caves and other shadowed places, striking when their targets are least aware.
Variations[]
Totberry[]
The Totberry thrives in the dark, though is afraid of it as well. It barely stands as tall as the knee of an average-sized adult human, carrying a Flashlight with it in order to ward off shadows. It uses its plastic knife to Doink its opponents before it hides again. Its oversized cloak protects it from the elements and makes it cozy even in the coldest weather. It often will snuggle up close with its master when s/he gets cold. Its very affectionate unless it's backed up against a wall, at which point it will viciously lash out.
Abilities[]
Lantern Glow[]
The Totberry shines its flashlight on its opponent, dazzling them. The recipient of the flash finds their magickal aptitude to be lowered substantially. It allows him to cover his weaker defensive stat with no help from its master.
Grudge[]
The Pet frowns and pouts, causing the viewer to feel bad for hurting it. The opponent's magickal capacity is then drained away, further defending the Totberry from the more dangerous attacks.
Doink[]
Through intense concentration, often resulting in a popped blood vessel, the Totberry charges with all its might, stabbing its foe with its plastic butter knife. The attack is named for the sound which results from the activation of this attack. It often results in minor physical injury, though it can deal substantial damage to even the toughest foes. Its accuracy is unparalleled by any other Pet attack.

Upsides[]
The Tonberry boasts a very high Defense stat, which is on par with the strictly defensive Sahagin. Its Dexterity stat goes uncontested as the greatest of all other Pets. Due to this, most of its points can be focused in its Health and Strength, making it a very significant threat in battle. Its Gambits allow it the ability to cover its weaker defensive stat by cutting out enemy Magick, Spirit, and Mana.
Downsides[]
The Tonberry has low Spirit, causing it to be very weak to Magick attacks. It's relatively high Spd stat causes players to have a difficult time gaining an extra turn in battles, though it can still be done with relative ease at higher levels. It also has low Health at base, causing the strongest strength users to damage it enough to warrant fear. Its master almost has to be a Magickal fighter in order to keep it alive.
